You were dears to call up last night. I could hear
the delight & excitement in your voices
as you talked about little James Duke!
We look forward to a picture of him.
With much love,

Dear Julia & Joe
Hope you had a nice birthday. How are you? Hope Joe, you are both okay. We are still at Buffalo, N.Y.
Wrote Steve & Margaret , so you probably know we had our trailer hit by a van with a ladder on it.
Did about $2,500. damage to it. Have been in Buffalo about 2 wks. See Joe V. almost every day.
They still have the painting to do, which will take a few more days.
It’s about ready to snow.
Love Mike & Mary

Going to see Alec Guinness
in a play tonight
May 15th: London – Par Avion
This – one of my very favourites among the Cornwall villages. I can’t believe its me going to all these lovely places!
Weather ideal – except yesterday at Windsor Palace – it poured – but was worth getting soaked for. The London taxi cabs – scare me to death.
Turn around in middle of the streets & dodge in between double deckers. Am loving every minute.
Oh! Your letter just arr. What a thrill to have mail.
The play would have been “The Old Country” by Alan Bennett at the Queen’s Theatre in London.
Alec Guinness played the role of Hilary.
